How?

It seems like a daunting task to move a district toward 21st Century Skills. These steps can help you through the process as an Educational Leader.

  1. Modeling Behavior
    1. Use email to communicate with teachers, staff, parents, and community
    2. Post school news quickly and regularly on website
    3. Appear upbeat and open to 21st Century Skills (even when frustrated and overwhelmed)
    4. Align NYS Curriculum with 21st Century Skills (this will be a team effort)
    5. When speaking publicly be sure to include vocabulary that supports 21st Century Skills
    6. Find organizations to keep you informed of trends and assist with teacher training. Examples are:
